Cancellations and refunds
At Chester City Baths, we strive to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for all our valued customers. To ensure fair and transparent operations, we have established the following policies for user groups hiring our swimming pool and individuals booking leisure swim sessions.
By proceeding with the booking of an adult leisure swim session or reservation of pool hire time, individuals and user groups acknowledge and agree to abide by these cancellation policies.

Adult leisure swimming
Cancellation Notice Period:
A minimum of 2 hours’ notice is required for all cancellations to qualify for a full refund or free reschedule.
Refunds:
If an individual cancels their booking within at least 2 hours of the booking start time, any payments made in advance will be refunded.
If an individual cancels their booking less than 2 hours before the booking start time, no refund will be made.
Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 14 business days of the cancellation.
Procedure for Cancellation:
We advise customers to cancel their booking in the My account/bookings section of this website. If that is not possible please contact us at info@chestercitybaths.com, call 01244 320898 or tell us in person at the Bath’s reception.
Rescheduling bookings:
If you wish to change your booking date/time rather than cancel it, please email us from your Bath’s account email address at info@chestercitybaths.com at least 2 hours before the original booking start time with your preferred new date and time. We will accommodate the change without charge if there is availability. Alternatively, call us on 01244 320898 or drop in to the Bath’s reception.
Force Majeure:
In the event of unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of the customer, such as natural disasters, public emergencies, or government-imposed restrictions, Chester City Baths reserves the right to make exceptions to this cancellation policy on a case-by-case basis.
Exceptions:
Chester City Baths management may, at its sole discretion, consider special circumstances on a case-by-case basis, and may choose to waive or modify the cancellation charges.
Notification of Changes:
Chester City Baths reserves the right to amend this cancellation policy at any time. Changes will be published on this page and will only apply to bookings and payments made after the published changes.
Groups and pool hire
Cancellation Notice Period:
A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required for all cancellations to qualify for a refund.
Cancellation Charges:
If a user group provides at least 7 days’ notice of cancellation, no charges will be incurred, and any payments made in advance will be fully refunded.
If a user group provides less than 7 days’ notice of cancellation, the full hourly charge rate for the reserved pool time will be applicable, and no refund will be issued.
Procedure for Cancellation:
All cancellation requests must be made in writing and sent to info@chestercitybaths.com or submitted in person at Chester City Bath’s reception.
Rescheduling Policy:
User groups may request to reschedule their reserved pool time slot, subject to availability, without incurring cancellation charges. However, this is contingent upon providing at least 7 days’ notice before the original booking date.
Force Majeure:
